Marlene D. Sapp, 74, of Kings Mine passed away Wednesday (June 6, 2012) at her home.
She was born July 10, 1937 in Kings Mine and was the daughter of the late Edgar J. and Elverna (Jackson) English.
Marlene retired from the former LDM after 18 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bingo, playing cards, cooking, cross-word puzzles, traveling and going to the ocean. She was Methodist by faith and a 1954 graduate of Lore City High School.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Vicki Lynn Christie and a brother Ronnie English.
She is survived by her husband William R. “Bill” Sapp whom she married August 20, 1955 one son Richard “Duke” Sapp of Kings Mine; one daughter Belinda Cramblett of Cambridge; three sisters, Geraldine St. Clair of Kings Mine, Bernadine Rummell of Cambridge and Donna Sovka of Cambridge; seven grandchildren, Vanessa L. Larocca, Tiffany Christie, John Christie, James Goshen, Brianna Johnson, Destini Johnson and Devon Sapp; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville where services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday with Pastor Floyd Costello officiating.
Burial will be in Senecaville Cemetery.
