Catherine Sue “Cathy” (Campbell) Chalfant, 52, of Byesville passed away Sunday (July 8, 2012) at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born November 27, 1959 in Cambridge and was the daughter of Albert Campbell of Cambridge and the late Sylvia “Sue” Campbell.
Cathy was employed at Cambridge Starfire for 10 years, she was Catholic by faith and a 1978 graduate of Meadowbrook High School.
She was a member of Byesville V.F.W. Ladies Aux., she enjoyed playing cards, wearing Tie Dyed clothing, spending time with her friends and family, loved to cook, hunting for and finding four leaf clovers and her dog Daisy.
In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by a brother Albert “Howie” Campbell.
She is survived by one son Walter (Sandy) Chalfant Jr. of Cambridge; one daughter Antoniette “Toni “ Chalfant of Cambridge; one brother Lee (Karen) Campbell of Byesville; one sister, Lynn Wray of Lore City; four grandchildren, Brycen Wilson, Jacob Neff, Katelyn Neff and Madison Neff; several nieces and nephews; former husband Walter Chalfant Sr. of Byesville.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 1-3 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville with services to follow at 3 p.m. with Fr. Robert Borer officiating.
Burial will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens.
