Eleanor “Ellie” B. Franklin, 74, of Cambridge passed away Wednesday (February 13, 2013) at Red Carpet Health Care Center.
She was born November 24, 1938 in West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Wilson and Issie McCartney.
Mrs. Franklin enjoyed flowers, feeding the birds and spending time at Marlene’s with her friends and family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Lonnie Dean and Mark; an infant daughter; four brothers; two sisters; special friends, Sharon Clegg and Larry Shaffer.
She is survived by her husband Rudolph “Rudy” D. Franklin whom she married March 12, 1956; two sons, Michael B. Franklin of North Carolina and Jeff Franklin of Kipling; two daughters, Lisa (Gary) Chambers of WVA and Joy (Thomas) Stephens of Kipling; three grandchildren, Jennifer Carpenter,, Joe Pierce and Janessa Pierce; three great grandchildren, Ally Carpenter, Owen and Eliza Coates.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 4-6 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville.
