Betty Jane Collins, 91, of Cambridge passed away Tuesday (February 26, 2013) at Autumn Health Care.
She was born February 28, 1921 in Canton and was the daughter of the late David Earl and Myrtle (Van Gundy) Gordon.
Betty was a homemaker. She had previously worked in a stamping mill and the home health industry. She was a member of Harvest Christian Fellowship and enjoyed attending Golden Sixties.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Collins whom she married in February 1964 and passed away August 17, 2011; infant son Luther; four brothers, Theodore, Roy, Everett and John Gordon; one sister Eva.
She is survived by three sons, Walter Earl (Nita) Gossett of Coshocton and Lawrence (Betsy) Holskey of Sacramento, KY and John (Patricia) Holskey of Henderson, KY; one daughter Marcella (Roy) Lowe of Coshocton; thirteen grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Harvest Christian Church with calling hours one hour prior to services with Pastor Burton Campbell officiating.
Burial will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens.
Her family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Guernsey, P.O. Box 1165, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
