Daniel Harry Barr age 57 of Sarahsville passed away at his home on Saturday May 19, 2012 as the result of a tractor accident. He was born On Sept. 18, 1954 in Cambridge and was the son of the late Wilmer and Virginia (Williams) Barr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Joe, his maternal grandmother, Ada Williams, and a nephew Allen Warner.

Dan was a 1972 graduate of Shenandoah High School, and later attended Peace Officer Training School. He was a member of the Mt. Ephriam United Methodist Church, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #386. He loved spending time with his children and had a special place in his heart for animals.

Dan was the owner of Barr Dump Truck Service for over 30 years, he was also a retired Ranger at Seneca Lake, and a retired firefighter and police officer at the former Cambridge state hospital.

Survivors include his wife Tammy (Gable) Barr whom he married Nov. 15, 1991 his children Daniel Michael Barr and Blaine Elizabeth Barr both of the home, a sister Erma Cain of Cambridge; two brothers, Blaine (Sandy) Barr of Byesville and James (Candy) Barr of Cambridge; a sister-in-law, Marcia Barr of Buffalo; Mother and Father in -law Rodger and Jan Gable of Zanesville, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville where services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Matus officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Ephriam Cemetery.
